Tile Delivery & Shipping FAQs

Tile Delivery & Shipping FAQs

Everything you need to know about getting tile from The Tile Store to your door, from our flat-rate South Florida delivery to freight shipping, showroom pickup, and what to do the moment your pallet arrives.

How much does tile delivery cost in South Florida?

We charge a flat $150 for curbside pallet delivery anywhere in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. It is the same price whether you order one box or a full pallet, so larger orders get more value from the flat rate.

What does curbside pallet delivery mean?

Your tile arrives strapped to a pallet on a truck with a liftgate, and the driver lowers it to the curb, driveway, or another ground-level spot at your address. The driver does not carry boxes inside, upstairs, or into a garage, so plan to have help on hand to move the tile indoors.

How long does tile delivery take?

Delivery timing depends on stock and your location, and our team will contact you to schedule a delivery window once your order is ready. If you are working against an installation date, call us at (954) 626-0136 and we will give you a realistic timeline before you order.

Do I need to be home when my tile is delivered?

Yes. Someone must be present to inspect the pallet, note any damage, and sign the delivery receipt. Because signing a clean receipt can waive a damage claim, we do not recommend authorizing an unattended drop-off.

What should I do when my tile delivery arrives?

Before you sign anything, inspect the pallet, open the shrink wrap if needed, and photograph any crushed corners, broken boxes, or cracked tile. Note the damage on the delivery receipt, then sign. Signing a clean receipt before inspecting may waive your right to a damage claim.

What happens if my tile arrives damaged?

Note the damage on the delivery receipt, photograph it, and email sales@thetilestores.com within 24 hours of delivery with your photos and order number. We will work with you to replace the damaged material as quickly as possible.

What if I sign the delivery receipt and find damage later?

Signing a clean delivery receipt tells the carrier the shipment arrived in good condition, and it may waive your damage claim. That is exactly why we ask every customer to inspect and photograph the pallet before signing, and to report any issue within 24 hours.

Can the delivery driver bring my tile inside or upstairs?

No. Our $150 flat-rate service is curbside only, meaning the driver lowers the pallet to ground level and no further. Tile is heavy, so arrange helpers or ask your installer to be on site to carry boxes in.

Do you ship tile outside of South Florida?

Yes. For addresses beyond Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, we provide a custom freight quote based on your order weight and destination. Contact us at sales@thetilestores.com or (954) 626-0136 for pricing to your zip code.

Can I pick up my tile order myself?

Yes, showroom pickup at 617 E Sunrise Blvd in Fort Lauderdale is always free. We will let you know when your order is ready, and bring a vehicle rated for the weight, since even a partial order of porcelain adds up fast.

How much does a pallet of tile weigh?

A full pallet of porcelain tile generally weighs between 1,500 and 3,000 pounds depending on tile size and thickness. That is why it ships by freight truck with a liftgate rather than a parcel carrier, and why we deliver curbside only.

How is tile packaged for delivery?

Boxes are stacked on a wood pallet, banded, and shrink-wrapped to protect the tile in transit. Large-format tile like 24x48 and 48x48 panels may ship in specialized crating, and everything arrives as a single palletized unit at the curb.

Can I reschedule my tile delivery?

Yes. If your job timeline shifts, contact us as early as possible at (954) 626-0136 and we will rebook your delivery window. The more notice you give, the easier it is to land the date you need.

Do you deliver tile to construction sites?

Yes, we deliver curbside to active job sites throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach for the same flat $150. Make sure the site has truck access and that your contractor or another authorized person is there to inspect the pallet and sign for it.

Do you deliver tile on weekends?

Delivery runs are generally scheduled on weekdays during business hours. If a weekday window is difficult for you, call us and we will do our best to find a time that works or arrange free pickup at the showroom instead.
